research

i have been looking at film openings that could give me ideas for mine. Im not sure what genre our film opening is. i looked at different types of films to see what sort of opening the group wanted.

The matrix is one film i looked at the opening for. It is a brilliant film and what makes it good is the use of lots of different effects used. it is all very precise and doesnt look messy at all. i love the detail that it shows throughout.

Another good set of films is the saw films. In the opening it gets into the action straight away. the main thing i loved about this opening is the twist it has. My group all liked the idea of a twist so we decided to apply this to our own film.

These to films have differernt openings yet they are both amazing in different ways. We only took ideas from the saw opening though as we wanted to shock our veiwers with a twist.

Introduction

I am Charlie Lane. Im doing my A level media coursework at the moment. Our prelim is to make a introduction to a film. Everyone is in groups for this and my group constists of myself Sandie Davis and Nick Lange. I chose to work with these people as in our last piece of work we made a good team. We work well together as we all have different roles with in the group and all have more knowledge in different aspects of what it takes to make a film. We have chosen to make our opening to the film scary. We want people to feel anxious and be on edge because they don't know what is going to happen. Throughout our two minute clip we intend to build up the tension slowly from the beginning so that we can cause the effect that people will be on edge.
